The Burn Down Chart tracks the remaining work over a time period. It is used by the team to ensure that they will complete the work (generally a trend line can be drawn to see if the work remaining will intersect time at the end of the period).

Product Owner will often watch this chart to determine if the team is on track to complete their tasks.

The Burn Down Chart is a highly visible indicator of progress towards completion.
